Army Hosts Conference Rival Kutztown on Saturday

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's rugby team will close out the Rugby East portion of its schedule on Saturday as it welcomes 13th-ranked Kutztown to the Anderson Rugby Complex for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

Kutztown has been ranked each of the previous two times they have contested the Black Knights as the Golden Bears were third in 2014 and sixth in 2015.

ARMY (7-1, 6-1 Rugby East)
• The Black Knights rebounded last time out against Wheeling Jesuit team with a 53-7 victory after their first loss of the season.
• Army is 1-1 against Kutztown since the fall of 2014, dropping last year's match on the road, 39-26.
• The Cadets are 1-1 against ranked opponents this season.
• Junior fly half Jon Kim continues to lead the team offensively with 102 points, 28 conversions and 12 penalty kicks.
• Fellow junior Jake Lachina has scored the most tries for Army this season with seven.

• The Golden Bears have scored at least 60 points in each of their four victories this season, highlighted by a 95-point effort in the season-opener against West Virginia.
• Kutztown is riding a two-match winning streak after being upset by Wheeling Jesuit, 33-22, on Oct. 8.
• Freshman forward Joseph Thatcher was named the D1A Rugby Player of the Week after scoring four tries last week against Delaware.
