STORYLINES
Army comes into the weekend fresh off a 67-55 victory against Colgate on Jan. 13 at Christl Arena. The Black Knights' bench contributed 35 points in the win over Colgate to mark its second-highest scoring output of the season (40 vs. Emerson, 12/19). It was also the first time Army's reserves outscored the starters (35-32) since Dec. 20, 2011 at Arizona State (29-17).
Junior Dani Failor led all scorers with a career-high 21 points that came on 8-of-10 shooting and 5-of-5 free-throw shooting. Sophomore Aliyah Murray also finished with a career night off the bench, as she posted career bests of 12 points, nine rebounds, four steals and five field goals (5-of-8).
Senior Kelsey Minato, the reigning Patriot League Player of the Week, netted 18 points against Colgate and shot 10-of-10 at the foul line to become Army's career free-throws leader, moving to 506 and passing Katie Macfarlane's (USMA '04) previous record of 498.
THE ARMY-AMERICAN SERIES
American owns an 18-14 lead in its all-time series against Army. The teams split two matchups last year, with the Black Knights and the Eagles both winning at home.
ARMY WEST POINT (13-2, 4-1 PATRIOT LEAGUE) NOTES

• Army closed the period on a 15-2 run that put it ahead by double figures entering the final frame and never let the Raiders come back to within fewer than seven points the rest of the way.
• Minato has scored in double figures in a Patriot League-record 95 straight games, dating back to Jan. 12, 2013.
• Minato leads the conference and ranks sixth nationally with 23.6 points per game.
• Four different Black Knights have hit the 20-point mark in a single game this season, including Minato (11 times), Failor (once), senior Jean Parker (once) and sophomore Janae McNeal (once).
AMERICAN (4-12, 2-3 PATRIOT LEAGUE) NOTES
• American ended its two-game road trip with a 63-59 setback at Boston University on Jan. 13.
• Junior Jordan Light paced the Eagles with 15 points, while freshman Cecily Carl added 14 points and five rebounds. Sophomore Maria Liddane contributed six points and a game-high 12 assists off the bench.
• American found itself in a 10-0 hole to start the game and continued to trail until battling back to a 36-36 tie with 5:40 remaining in the third quarter. The Eagles never took a lead, despite using a 9-1 run to cut the deficit to a point, 60-59, with 30 seconds left.
• Junior Lauren Crisler leads American with 10.1 points per game this season.
WINNING WAYS
The Army Women's Basketball Class of 2015 holds the program record with the most victories over a four-year span, with an 84-41 overall record. The Class of 2016 can match the mark set by last year's seniors for the most wins in team history with a win at American on Saturday. The Class of 2016 and currently owns an 83-27 record over its first three-plus seasons. The Black Knights' current senior class includes Minato, Parker, Brianna Johnson, Brigette Ocran and Aimee Oertner.
DIALED IN FROM DOWNTOWN
Army has continued to shoot the three-pointer well this year after finishing each of the last three seasons atop the Patriot League in three-point shooting percentage (2012-13: 33.3 // 2013-14: 37.2 // 2014-15: 35.4). The Black Knights have made 40.5 percent of their three-point attempts and currently stand first in the Patriot League and third among the nation's Division I programs in the category.
Army's long-range success is due, in large part, to two of the most-accurate three-point shooters in Academy history, in Minato and Parker.
