Eleven Tabbed For College Sports Madness Preseason Teams

Three First-Team Choices, Eight Second-Team Nods
WEST POINT, N.Y. ā Linebacker Jeremy Timpf, defensive back Chris Carnegie and punter Alex Tardieu were first team selections and running back Joe Walker, tight end Kelvin White, offensive linemen Matt Hugenberg and Drew Hennessey, kicker Daniel Grochowski, defensive lineman T.J. Atimalala, linebacker Andrew King and defensive back Josh Jenkins were second team choices on the College Sports Madness Preseason All-Independent Football Teams that were announced Friday.
The staff at College Sports Madness selected the two teams, projecting those players to make significant contributions during the 2015 season.
Timpf, a junior co-captain, made a team-best 117 tackles in 2014, with 14.5 tackles for loss. Carnegie registered 54 tackles and intercepted three passes, one of which he returned for a touchdown. Tardieu, who averaged 39.3 yards per punt last season and pinned the opponent inside the 50-yard line on 18 occasions, rounded out the first-team choices.
Walker ran 18 times last season, threw a touchdown pass and hauled in five receptions is among eight Army West Point players on the second team. White snared six passes for 72 yards and helped Hugenberg and Hennessey lead a rushing attack that ranked fifth in the country. King was third on the team with 63 tackles last season and a team-best five quarterback sacks. Jenkins posted 64 tackles and broke up eight passes, while Atimalala competed in all 12 games. Grochowski converted seven field goals, including a long of 52 yards.
The Black Knights will open preseason camp on Monday, August 3 at 3:45 p.m.

Army West Point head coach Jeff Monken enters his second season with the team as the Black Knights kick-off the 2015 season under the lights on Sept. 4 against Fordham at 7p.m.
Following the Fordham contest, Army West Point will play at Connecticut before returning home for its first home Saturday contest of the year as the Black Knights welcome Wake Forest on Sept. 19 at 12 p.m.

Army West Point goes back on the road for two games before returning on Oct. 10 against Duke and the next week opposite Bucknell in the celebration of 125 years of Army football on Oct. 17. Ā The final two home games are in November with Tulane coming to West Point on Nov. 14 and Rutgers closing out the home season on Nov. 21. All home games kick off at 12 noon.

Single game tickets start at just $32 for the Fordham contest. The Wake Forest game starts at $35, while Duke and Bucknell tickets begin at $39. Tulane tickets start at $35 and $50 for the Rutgers game.

Season tickets are also available with prices beginning at $120.
Three-game mini plans are also offered with prices ranging from $87-$138 depending on which games fans select.

Fans also have the option to purchase general parking passes in advance for $15, saving $5 off the gameday price of $20.
