Women's Cross COuntry Ready for Regionals

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Army West Point women's cross country team is ready to compete at the NCAA Northeast Regionals with some veterans looking to complete their legacy and some freshmen who are looking to make a name for themselves. The meet is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 13, at noon.
The Black Knights are coming off a fifth-place finish at the Patriot League Championships, scoring 125 points. They were paced by senior Madison Hill, who garnered First-Team All-Patriot League honors after a sixth-place finish. Hill has placed in Army's top-two in all four races she has been in thus far after battling a nagging injury that kept her out of three races earlier in 2015.
Freshman Abby Halbrook was the No. 2 finisher for the Black Knights, followed by senior captain Lindsay Gabow in 19th. The Cadet's final two scoring performances came from a pair of freshmen that are just starting to hit their stride. Payton Padgett finished 22nd and Sarah Jeon capped the scoring with a 79th-place finish.
