Men’s Soccer Faces BU on Senior Day

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's soccer team hosts Boston University in its final home game of the 2015 regular season on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Black Knights will celebrate Senior Day with a ceremony honoring the team's six seniors prior to the game.

Army comes into the weekend in a three-way tie for the sixth and final spot in next month's Patriot League Tournament. The Black Knights have eight points with three conference matches remaining, while Bucknell and Holy Cross also have eight points, but each have two league games left. Boston University has clinched a berth in the Patriot League Tournament and currently leads the league with 16 points.

Army trails Boston University, 5-2-0, in a series that began in 1978. The Terriers hold a 2-1-0 lead over the Black Knights since joining the Patriot League in 2013. Army dropped a 2-0 decision in a regular-season road match at Boston University before falling to a 1-0 setback in double overtime on the road in the Patriot League semifinals.

• Army scored first before allowing two consecutive goals in a 2-1 setback against Colgate on Oct. 28.
• Sophomore Okheem Riley scored his first career goal for the Black Knights in the 52nd minute, while senior Cody Guerry tallied an assist.
• Senior Chris Britt finished with two saves for the second game in a row.
• Guerry leads Army with three goals on the season, while juniors Christian Ollen and Nick Williams and sophomore Shaban Abousaud all have two. Guerry also paces the Black Knights with nine points.

BOSTON UNIVERSITY (11-4-1, 5-1-1 PL) NOTES
• Boston University is coming off a 2-1 home victory over Holy Cross on Wednesday.
• Felix De Bona scored twice in the win for the Terriers, while Magnus Benediktsson tallied an assist.
• De Bona leads Boston University with seven goals on the year and ranks second in the Patriot League in the category.
• Boston University is receiving votes in the latest National Soccer Coaches Association of America national poll.
