Texas Two-Step Advances to Semis in Boise

BOISE, IDAHO – The Lone Star-State duo of Kyle Barnes and Austin McCasin of the Army West Point men's tennis team advanced to the semifinals of the main draw of doubles play of the Boise State Invite on Saturday.
Barnes, from Argyle, and McCasin, from Keller, posted a 7-5 victory over Seattle on the third day of the tournament. Army's other doubles team that was still in competition, senior Sam Lampman and sophomore Michael Nguyen, lost a heartbreaker to Air Force, 6-4. Lampman also fell in singles play, dropping a two-set match to Boise's top-ranked player.
Day four for the Black Knights will begin at 1 p.m. MT when Barnes and McCasin face Boise State in the semifinals with the championship match following at 2:30 p.m.
