Barnes/McCasin Fall in Semis at Boise State Invite

BOISE, IDAHO – The doubles team comprised of Kyle Barnes and Austin McCasin made it to the fourth and final day of the Boise State Invite, but dropped their semifinals match to the host school on Sunday.

Throughout the four-day tournament, the Black Knights placed two doubles teams and another singles player into the quarterfinals into day three.

"I thought it was a great tournament for all of our guys," said head coach Jim Poling. "Everybody had quality wins. Sam Lampman fought hard against Boise State's No. 1 guy and Grant Riechmann did a great job coming back after being down 5-2 against Utah State. I thought our doubles play was exceptionally good this weekend. Getting Kyle and Austin to the semifinals really speaks to how they've progressed throughout the fall."

The Black Knights will return to action with another action-packed weekend, competing in both the Dartmouth Invite and the Farnsworth Invitational hosted by Princeton from Oct. 9-11.
