Men’s Soccer Hosts Rutgers in Nonleague Match

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's soccer team finishes its three-game homestand on Tuesday evening when it hosts Rutgers at Clinton Field at 7 p.m.
Army played to a scoreless draw against American on Saturday to move to 3-4-4 overall and 1-1-2 in the Patriot League to pick up its fifth point of the year in league competition. Senior Chris Britt notched his second shutout of the season with a three-save performance against the Eagles.
Rutgers defeated Northwestern, 4-2, on Friday to extend its winning streak to four matches. Four different Scarlet Knights found the back of the net in the victory, while goalkeeper David Greczek finished with five saves.
Army holds an 18-8-2 lead in an all-time series against Rutgers that dates back to the 1931 season. The Scarlet Knights defeated the Black Knights, 1-0, last season in Piscataway, N.J., with the lone goal coming from Mitchell Taintor in the 20th minute.
