Women’s Tennis Sees Success in Day Two at Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY, VT – The Army West Point women's tennis team competed in day two of the Middlebury Invite, capturing four doubles wins and three singles victories.

Army competed in doubles action against Amherst and Williams and singles against Amherst.

In doubles action against Amherst, Carolyn Pitman and Allyson Hayley defeated Jackie Calla and Maddy Sung 8-4. Rugile Valuniate and Nancy Porter knocked off Avery Wagman and Claire Carpenter 8-0, Hayley and Bridget Guenard earned an 8-3 win over Joanna Booth and Camilla Trapness and Hayley O'Connor and Sera Martorelli earned a 8-1 win over Jane Fraley and Kelly Yang.

Guenard also earned a 6-2, 6-2 win over Vickie Ip and Porter claimed a 6-3, 7-5 win over Megan Adamo. Kirby Enick also earned a 7-5, 6-2 win over Kelsey Chen.

The Black Knights will wrap up the three-day invite tomorrow.
