Army Men Shine Final Day Of IC4A Championships

BOSTON, Mass. - The Army men's track and field team wrapped up competition at the 2014 Indoor IC4A Championships with a strong showing on Sunday led by junior Clyde Wilson'sbronze medal in the 800-meter run at Boston University Track and Tennis Center.
Wilson shaved 0.6 off the time he recorded in the prelims of the 800m on Saturday with a career clocking of 1:51.30 that nipped his former mark of 1:51.31 set at this meet last year that ranks as the seventh fastest time in program history. Monmouth's Dylan Capwell won the event with a time of 1:50.16.
Senior Chris Smith closed out his indoor season clocking a 1:03.62 in finishing fifth in the 500 meters. Sophomore Taylor Andrews placed seventh in the 60-meter hurdles (8.14) and freshman Jose Santanawas 10th in the 400-meter dash (48.24).
Army put the finishing touches on its indoor season competing at the ECAC (women) and IC4A (men) Championships this weekend before heading outdoors where the season starts March 20-22 at the Shamrock Invitational XVIII in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
