Rifle Falls To GARC Rival Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Sophomore Allen Solida posted a career-high 589 in air rifle and freshman Josh Martin fired Army's top score in smallbore (579) against host Kentucky in a Great America Rifle Conference match Sunday at the Buell Armory.
The fourth-ranked Wildcats defeated the Black Knights 4678-4615 to stretch their unbeaten mark to 6-0.
Army (3-4, 2-2 GARC) combined for a 2283 smallbore and 2332 mark in air rifle in trailing Kentucky's scores of 2318 and 2360, respectively.
The Black Knight close out their fall slate this weekend with a pair of GARC matches against Ole Miss (11/14) and West Virginia (11/16).
