TEAM NOTES
► Saturday's game was the first meeting between the Black Knights and Seawolves on the gridiron.
► In addition to legacy captain Jarrett Mackey, seniors Jared Hassin and Dan McGue served as captains on Saturday.
► Army suffered its eighth straight loss dating back to last season.
► Saturday's loss snapped the Black Knights' three-game winning streak against Football Championship Subdivision teams. Army is now 52-11-1 all-time versus FCS foes.
► Army is 0-4 for the first time since 2008.
► The Black Knights dropped to 9-46 since the start of 2006 when losing the turnover battle. Army is 0-4 when -3 or worse since the start of the 2009 campaign. Army is 1-8 since 2009 when committing at least three turnovers.
► Army was flagged six times for 50 yards, both season highs.
OFFENSIVE NOTES
► Senior QB Trent Steelman became Army's all-time leader in rushing yards by a quarterback. Steelman's 89 yards improved his career total to 2,362, passing Tory Crawford's 2,313 career yards.
► Steelman moved into fifth place on Army's career rushing ledger, regardless of position.
► The Black Knights were held to a season-low 273 yards rushing. Army entered the game ranked No. 1 in the country with a 399.0 yards-per-game average.
► Army did not have a 100-yard rusher for the first time this season. The Black Knights opened with three straight games with at least two players reaching the century mark.
► Junior WR Patrick Laird made a career-high two catches, including a career-long 33-yard reception.
► Junior RB Raymond Maples was held to less than 100 yards for the first time this season. Maples rushed 13 times for 81 yards. He entered the game ranked No. 6 in the nation at better than 135 yards per contest.
► Army was held without a touchdown for the first time since a 27-3 loss versus Notre Dame on Nov. 20, 2010. The Black Knights had reached paydirt in 17 straight games.
DEFENSIVE NOTES
► Army allowed a season-low 23 points. The Black Knights had surrendered at least 41 points in each of their first three games.
► Army made a season-high 11 tackles for loss. The Black Knights entered the game with eight tackles behind the line of scrimmage.
► Senior LB Nate Combs registered his second multi-sack game of the season. Combs tied his career high with two sacks, including one that resulted in a fumble. He set a new career standard with 3.0 tackles for loss. Combs' nine total tackles matched his career high as well.
► Sophomore LB Geoffery Bacon registered 14 tackles, topping his previous career best of 13 last season at Vanderbilt.
► Freshman CB Chris Carnegie made a career-high nine tackles.
► Sophomore DL Joe Drummond posted career highs with seven tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss in his first career start.
► Freshman LB Alex Meier made a career-best six tackles, including his first stop behind the line of scrimmage, an assisted tackle.
► Sophomore DT Robert Kough made a career-high 2.5 tackles for loss.
► Sophomore DT Richard Glover registered a career-best 2.0 tackles for loss and his first career fumble recovery.
SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES
► Freshman K Daniel Grochowski hit a 39-yard field goal in the third quarter to establish a new career high. He has made both is field goal tries this season.
