WEST POINT, N.Y. - For the first time ever, Army's loyal Facebook following will have the opportunity to cast their vote for the 2012 Black Knight Awards. Fans of the Army Black Knight's Facebook page will have the chance to vote on a total of 13 awards.
Awards up for voting throughout this week will be men's and women's Rookie of the Year, men's and women's Yearling of the Year, men's and women's Cow of the Year, men's and women's Firstie of the Year, and men's and women's Performance of the Year. In addition, fans will have the opportunity to vote in the co-ed Play of the Year and Team of the Year categories. The first category will be posted later today.
To cast your vote, please log-on to www.facebook.com/armyblackknights and "Like" the Black Knights' page if you have not already. The results of the Facebook vote will be calculated into a vote of an athletic department committee and that of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
The 2012 Black Knight Awards will take place on Sunday, May 20, at 7:15 in Robinson Auditorium. ITT Exelis Knight Vision will carry a live feed of the fifth-annual event. Award winners and a complete recap of the evening's events will be posted on www.goARMYsports.com immediately following its conclusion.
