ESPN'S College Gameday West Point Site Announced

WEST POINT, N.Y. - ESPN's popular College GameDay show, which will originate live from West Point on Saturday, Sept. 27, has announced its set location for next week's broadcast at the Academy. The stage will be erected on Patton Field, located at the"library corner" just behind Doubleday Field and opposite the "The Plain."
The area will be open and highly accessible to the public. With a trademark following of rabid fans filling the show's background, fans are highly encouraged to attend the broadcast session, which will air from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday. The Cadet Review on "The Plain" will begin at 10:15 a.m. that day, delayed 15 minutes in order to support the broadcast.

Additional tapings will occur later on Saturday, following the conclusion of Army's game against South Florida. The times of those spots will be announced next week.
With a patriotic theme and the storied grounds of the Military Academy providing a historic backdrop, the nation's premier Saturday morning college football preview will make its first appearance at West Point and only the third trip to one of the country's service academies. GameDay visited the U.S. Air Force Academy on Nov. 3, 2001, in advance of the Army-Air Force matchup at Falcon Stadium.
Featuring host Chris Fowler and analysts Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit, ESPN's critically acclaimed College GameDay is the nation's most comprehensive and authoritative college football studio program. Each Saturday morning, it covers college football with game previews, one-on-one interviews, behind-the-scenes features, analysis and predictions as well as capture the passion, rivalries, personalities and traditions of the sport. GameDay, celebrating its "10 Seasons on the Road," began traveling on the road to the site of the day's best matchup Nov. 13, 1993, with Florida State at Notre Dame. The show debuted with an "in-studio format" seven years earlier.
Program highlights, including several features focusing on the Army team and its players, will be announced next week.
