Zach Gold joined the Army football staff in the summer of 2024.

In his current role as Director of Player Personnel, he oversees the football program’s recruiting staff and operations. He is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing both prospective and current players to ensure the team has the talent needed to compete at a high level.

Before Army he was on the staff at Temple Football. He began as a staff member as a graduate assistant in recruiting and scouting in August 2019, following five years on staff at Northwestern University. He was promoted to Assistant Director of Player Personnel in February 2020 and to the Director of Scouting in March 2021. He added the responsibilities of Assistant Director of Football Operations in the spring of 2024.

In 2018, Gold served as a scouting assistant with the Northwestern football program. His responsibilities included identifying and evaluating prospects as well as assisting with the coordination of coaching staff recruiting travel. Prior to this role, he was a student manager on Northwestern football's equipment staff for all four years as an undergraduate.

Gold is a native of New York, N.Y., and earned his bachelor's degree in communication studies from Northwestern University in 2018. He earned his master's in sports management from Temple in 2021.
