Munir Prince enters his first season on the Black Knights' coaching staff as the program's cornerbacks coach in 2026.

Prince arrives at West Point after four seasons on the coaching staff at Eastern Michigan, where he most recently served as the Eagles' cornerbacks coach. Prince helped guide one of the Mid-American Conference's most consistent and disciplined defensive back units.

In 2025, Prince mentored Bryce Llewellyn to All-MAC Second Team honors, marking the program's first all-conference defensive back since 2020. Llewellyn led the defense with 103 total tackles, added two interceptions and 5.0 tackles for loss, and ranked among the conference and national leaders in tackles per game, becoming EMU's first 100-tackle defender since 2023.

Prince's cornerbacks units consistently produced across multiple seasons. In 2024, his group featured depth and productivity, highlighted by Daiquan White's 10 starts and six pass breakups, Dramarian McNulty's Academic All-District recognition, and David Carter Jr.'s 42-tackle season that included a 99-yard forced-fumble return for a touchdown. During the 2023 campaign, Prince's unit helped Eastern Michigan rank first in the MAC in interceptions and second in opponent completion percentage en route to a 9–4 season. That year, White earned conference and national freshman honors, Bennett Walker led the team with three interceptions, and Kempton Shine finished his career second in program history with 26 passes defended.

Prior to his time at Eastern Michigan, Prince served as head football coach at Webster Groves (Mo.) High School, where he also held the role of assistant athletic director. He had been an assistant coach at the school since 2020 and served as interim head coach for a portion of the 2021 season.

Prince's collegiate coaching résumé includes stops at Missouri State, Drake University, and Pittsburg State University, as well as experience at Missouri. He spent five seasons at Missouri State (2015–19), initially coaching running backs before transitioning to cornerbacks in 2018. His defensive units were anchored by veteran leadership, while his offensive groups combined for more than 4,000 yards of total offense over three seasons. In 2017, Missouri State ranked third in the Missouri Valley Football Conference in rushing during league play.

Prince began his collegiate coaching career at Drake, where he coached tight ends after a year working in sports marketing with Drake IMG Sports Marketing.

A former standout student-athlete at Missouri, Prince earned two degrees from the university, completing his bachelor's degree in business management in 2010 and an MBA in 2012. While pursuing his graduate degree, he served as an offensive graduate assistant under Head Coach Gary Pinkel.

As a player, Prince was part of two Big 12 North Division championship teams and three bowl teams, including appearances in the Alamo Bowl and Texas Bowl. He began his collegiate playing career at Notre Dame, appearing in 20 games as a running back and defensive back during the 2006 and 2007 seasons.

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Prince and his wife, Alison, have two children: a son, Munir, and a daughter, Elowyn.
