The WNIT kicked off with Army hosting its first Division I postseason game, as it knocked off NJIT in the Round of 32. A few days later, the Black Knights took down La Salle in the Super 16 inside Christl Arena.
Army opened 2025-26 going 9-2 during its non-conference slate, which included impressive wins over St. Thomas, UMass and Howard. After dropping its conference opener, Army won six straight conference games to establish itself at the top of the Patriot League standings.
Four Black Knights recorded All-Patriot League Honors following the regular season. Camryn Tade was named First Team All-Patriot League, Kya Smith earned Second Team All-Patriot League, Reese Ericson garnered named Third Team All-Patriot League and Reganne Reardon was named to the All-Rookie Team. Additionally, Tade and Smith each earned a spot on the All-Defensive team.
A former standout student-athlete and rising coaching talent, Sheehan reunites with head coach Katie Kuester after previously serving on staff together at Saint Joseph's University.
Sheehan most recently served as the director of operations at Saint Joseph's, where she helped guide the Hawks through a successful 2023–24 campaign alongside Kuester. Their strong coaching chemistry and shared approach to player development were instrumental in the program's growth, particularly in guard/post play and team culture.
Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Sheehan enjoyed a five-year playing career at Saint Joseph's, appearing in 93 games and scoring 349 points. She served as a three-year team captain, recognized for her leadership both on and off the floor. Sheehan graduated with a degree in accounting in 2020 and later earned her MBA with a certificate in data analytics, data management, and leadership in 2022.
A native of Drexel Hill, Pa., Sheehan was a standout high school player at Cardinal O'Hara and earned All-Catholic League honors. Her journey as a leader, mentor, and high-level student-athlete uniquely equips her to connect with and guide the cadet-athletes at West Point.
Sheehan joins a dynamic staff as the Army women's basketball staff continues to take shape under Kuester's leadership heading into the 2025–26 season.
