Austin McClain joined Army West Point in February 2024 as Assistant Athletic Director, Marketing & Fan Engagement.
In his role he serves as the primary marketing contact for the Army football and men’s basketball programs and leads the department’s marketing and fan engagement initiatives for all seven ticketed sports. He also serves as the main contact for the Army-Navy fan fest.
Austin comes to West Point after a successful three-year stint with the Charlotte 49ers where he served as Assistant Director and oversaw marketing efforts for the men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, and softball programs. During his time at Charlotte, he produced the first men’s basketball sellout since 2013, set single game revenue and attendance records for men’s basketball and women’s soccer, was the game manager for two NCAA men’s soccer opening round matches, launched the first ever season ticket campaign for women’s basketball, and saw YoY attendance increases in all ticketed sports.
A native of Gainesville, Florida, McClain earned his master’s degree in sports administration from Arkansas State University in 2021, and his bachelor’s degree in sports management from the University of Florida in 2018.
