Nicole Payne joined the Army West Point athletic training staff in the summer of 2012 and currently serves the women’s volleyball and men’s gymnastics programs.
Payne came to West Point after serving as the full-time graduate assistant athletic trainer at North Carolina State where she worked with women’s tennis and football. Prior to her position with the Wolfpack, she served as an athletic training student, working with women’s basketball, football, men’s and women’s swimming and diving and women’s soccer at Florida State.
She earned an bachelor’s of science in athletic training from Florida State in April 2010 before moving on to earn a master’s of education in adult education from North Carolina State in May 2012.
In addition to her work with intercollegiate athletic teams, Payne has volunteered for the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, Nike Football Training Camp and the NCAA Regional Track & Field Championships.
She is a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer and a New York State Certified Athletic Trainer. In addition, she is CPR certified and a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
A member of a military family, Payne now resides in Fort Montgomery, N.Y.
