Liz Flooks begins her first season as an athletics fellow, working closely with the Army West Point men's and women's basketball programs.
She spent the previous three seasons on the Army West Point women's basketball coaching staff. In her first two seasons on the staff, two separate Black Knights have received All-Patriot League recognition in Madison Hovren (2018-19) and Alisa Fallon (2019-20). Hovren was tabbed to the league’s first team 19.1 points per game and 13.1 rebounds per contest. Her 13.1 rebounds ranked fifth in the nation. Fallon was tabbed to the third after averaging 12.1 points per contest in her sophomore year. She was one of just three underclassmen to earn all-league nods. Additionally, in 2019-20 Hope Brown was named to the league’s all-freshman team.
Flooks arrived at West Point after spending three seasons at NJIT, two as an assistant and one as a Director of Basketball Operations. During her time with the Highlanders, Flooks helped coach Danielle Tunstall to the Atlantic Sun All-Freshman team.
Prior to joining the NJIT staff, she was an assistant coach at NCAA Division II Pittsburgh-Johnstown from 2013-15.
Before entering the college coaching ranks, Flooks spent the 2012-13 season coaching at her alma mater, White Plains High School.
As a player, she was a four-year starter and three-year team captain at Niagara, where she earned MAAC postseason honors in each of her four seasons.
While with the Purple Eagles, Flooks became the 21st member to join the 1,000-point club and she capped her collegiate career with 1,210 points. She was a constant threat from long range, knocking down 171 shots from deep, which ranks seventh in all-time program history. The White Plains, N.Y., native also sits in seventh in career free throw percentage (.810) and tied for fourth in total games played (116) at Niagara.
Flooks received her Bachelor of Arts from Niagara in May 2011 and her master's in May 2015 from Liberty University.
