Amber Raisner enters her second season as an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator for Army in 2026-27.
Last season, Army finished tied for second in the Patriot League standings, going 14-4 against Patriot League opponents. The Black Knights season culminated in a trip to the WNIT Great 8 against Marshall, marking the deepest postseason run in program history.Â
Â
The WNIT kicked off with Army hosting its first Division I postseason game, as it knocked off NJIT in the Round of 32. A few days later, the Black Knights took down La Salle in the Super 16 inside Christl Arena.Â
Â
Army opened 2025-26 going 9-2 during its non-conference slate, which included impressive wins over St. Thomas, UMass and Howard. After dropping its conference opener, Army won six straight conference games to establish itself at the top of the Patriot League standings.Â
Â
Four Black Knights recorded All-Patriot League Honors following the regular season. Camryn Tade was named First Team All-Patriot League, Kya Smith earned Second Team All-Patriot League, Reese Ericson garnered named Third Team All-Patriot League and Reganne Reardon was named to the All-Rookie Team. Additionally, Tade and Smith each earned a spot on the All-Defensive team.
Raisner, a Connecticut native, arrived at West Point following an impactful three-year stint as an assistant coach at Yale, where she helped develop one of the Ivy League's most competitive programs. She brings a strong background in guard development, defensive excellence, and academic achievement.
In March 2025, Raisner was recognized nationally as a WBCA Thirty Under 30 honoree—a prestigious award that celebrates 30 of the most promising young coaches in women's basketball. The award highlights Raisner's leadership, mentorship, and commitment to excellence.
During her time at Yale, Raisner was instrumental in the Bulldogs' strong performances in multiple statistical categories. In 2024-25, Yale ranked top three in the Ivy League in offensive rebounds (12.1/game) and bench points (15.3/game), while producing an All-Ivy honoree and a CSC Academic All-District selection. The previous season, she helped guide the Bulldogs to a landmark overtime victory at Penn and major statistical improvements in shooting percentage, free-throw efficiency, and ball control. Her first season with the Bulldogs included coaching the Ivy League Co-Defensive Player of the Year and mentoring a top 10 Nancy Lieberman Award finalist.
Before Yale, Raisner starred at Union College, where she was a two-time leading scorer and helped her team reach the Liberty League semifinals as a senior. She earned All-Liberty League honors while averaging 11.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game.
Off the court, Raisner distinguished herself as a dedicated student-athlete, earning a B.S. in neuroscience, Union's Scholar-Athlete of the Year award (twice), and the Award for Academic Excellence. She was named to the Dean's List each year and was a three-time Liberty League All-Academic Team member.
A native of West Hartford, Conn., Raisner was a standout at Hall High School, where she was a four-time All-Central Connecticut Conference selection and a CHSCA Scholar-Athlete.
