Rob Sidwell joins Army West Point Softball for his first season as assistant coach in 2023-2024. He previously came from Western Carolina University where he served as an assistant coach for the 2022-23 season.

Before that, he was the assistant coach for the La Crosse Loggers in the Northwoods League (2019) and the Winter Park Diamond Dawgs in the Florida Collegiate League (2018) before transitioning into the managerial role for both organizations from 2021-2022. He was also the Assistant Baseball Coach at the University of Central Florida from 1992-1996.

Sidwell spent some time at the high school level where he was the Head Baseball Coach at West Orange High School from 2021-2022 and served as Assistant Athletic Director and Assistant Baseball Coach for Olympia High School from 2016-2021.

Before his coaching career, Sidwell was a Scouting Director/Supervisor for the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Prep Baseball Report.
