Tommy Escudero is in his first season as the head coach of the Army West Point Rabble Rousers, having joined the department during the 2021-22 winter season.
Escudero made the move to West Point after serving as a special education teacher and varsity cheerleading coach for the Gadsden Independent School District in New Mexico.

Prior to his two-year stint in Gadsden, he served as the Head Spirit Coach at Dodge City Community College in Kansas. During his time with the Conqs, he oversaw a spirit squad that provided support to numerous athletic events, both at home and on the road. Escudero also had a hand in fundraising, recruitment, travel and marketing efforts and was additionally responsible for equipment, inventory and student study hall.

Before relocating to Dodge City, Escudero was a probation officer for the Nueces County Community Supervision and Corrections Department in Corpus Christi, Texas. His time spent in that role coincided with his job as the head coach of Texas A&M University Kingsville’s cheer and mascot program, a position that he held for eight seasons.

In his time as a Javelina, Escudero additionally held the roles of Wellness Assistant and Coordinator of Fitness Programs.

Escudero graduated from New Mexico State University, where he was a four-year member of the Aggies’ co-ed cheer program. In addition to his bachelor of arts degree, he holds a certification in Cheer and Dance Safety.
