2018-19: Voted Team Captain ... nominee for college hockey’s top individual honor, the Hobey Baker Award … one of five players to suit up for all 39 games ... his 35 points ranked 3rd in Atlantic Hockey among defensemen and 7th in the nation among defensemen … the senior Captain led the conference with 18 power play points to propel Army to boast Atlantic Hockey’s top power play … MacAfee ranked 8th in the NCAA in power play points … entered his final season with five career multi-point games, he tallied a team leading 11 multi-point games in 2018-19 ... posted his first career multi-goal game in a 3-2 overtime win at Mercyhurst (March 8) to open the Atlantic Hockey playoffs ... first on the team in assists (25), points (35), shots (122) and blocks (66) ... finished his career with 108 games played in an Army sweater with 227 points.Â
2017-18: One of five Black Knights to skate in all 36 games ... ranked tied for fourth on the team in points with 21 ... led Army with 19 assists ... added two goals on the year ... both on the power play ... had four multi-point performances ... sixth on the team in blocks with 33 ... tied for 15th in Atlantic Hockey with 0.36 power play points per game ... tied for 10th in the league for defenseman scoring with 0.58 points per game ... member of the No. 3 penalty kill unit in the country with a .881 efficiency.
2016-17: Appeared in 33 games for Army … finished his debut year in an Army sweater with five goals and eight assists for 13 points … finished with a +7 line … tied for fourth on the team with 43 blocks … scored one power play goal … notched the game-winner against Holy Cross on Dec. 9 … recorded a career-high two assists against Holy Cross on Feb. 18 … it was his first double-digit point game … named the AHA Defender of the Week on Nov. 15.
2015-16: Did not see any varsity action.
Prior to West Point: Played at Boston University in 2013-14 ... appeared in 31 games as a rookie with the Terriers and led all first year players in plus-minus ... recorded three points during that season ... following that season, went to the South Shore Kings and played 40 games ... played with Trevor Fidler and Tommy Besinger on the South Shore Kings ... recorded 20 points and was team captain for the Kings in the USPHL ... tallied 53 points (6g, 37a) in his career at St. Sebastian's School ... second-highest scorer amongst the team's defensemen in each of his final three seasons at the school ... was a first team all-league performer in the Independent School League in hockey and lacrosse ... had Division I scholarship offers in hockey and lacrosse and was team captain of the St. Sebastian's lacrosse team as a senior.
