Ally Keirn joined the Office of Athletic Communications at the United States Military Academy in the fall of 2015 after spending one year as the Army-Navy Social Media Coordinator.
Keirn was promoted in July of 2018 to Associate Director of Athletic Communications after serving as the Assistant Director for three years. She supervises the Army-Navy social media efforts and serves as the primary sport contact for hockey, men's lacrosse, women's soccer and the rabble rousers. Her previous responsibilities include vollyeball, gymnastics, golf, women's tennis, men's and women's swimming and diving, women's lacrosse and softball. Keirn began her time at West Point as the Army-Navy Social Media Coordinator in 2014 and revamped the social presence of the historic rivalry. She played in integral role in hosting the 2017 NCAA Gymnastics Championships at West Point.Â
Keirn joined the Army staff after spending the two years at Bloomsburg University (Pa.) as a graduate assistant from 2012-2014. She worked closely with the Huskies 20 Division II varsity sports teams as well as Division I wrestling. Keirn played an integral role in the social media efforts for the athletic department and was the creative designer for the Bloomsburg University Athletics Strategic Plan in 2013. She aided in developing a Crisis Communications Plan for the athletic department in her final semester. Keirn was involved with all day-to-day operations of the sports information office, including a majority of the graphics work for web and print publications. Throughout her two years with the Huskies, Keirn earned a Masters of Business Administration degree.
Prior to Bloomsburg, Keirn was a four-year member of the nationally ranked Mercyhurst University women's lacrosse team where she earned All-America distinction during her sophomore and junior seasons. She also garnered three All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) selections and multiple scholar-athlete accolades.
Keirn was chosen for the United States of America Athletes International squad that traveled to Melbourne, Australia, in 2010 for the Down Under Cup.
She was named a team captain her senior season with the Lakers and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in May of 2012 while majoring in Sports Business Management.
Keirn also served on the Eastern College Athletic Conference Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA)Â Executive Board as the Director of New Media to aid with the creative media efforts of the association.
A native of Rochester, N.Y., Keirn currently resides in Highland Falls, N.Y.
