Franklin Jennings finished his second season at Army West Point after joining Chris Tracz’s staff before the 2023 campaign. After serving 2023 as a volunteer assistant, Jennings was promoted to assistant coach ahead of 2024.
In 2024, Army reached its sixth consecutive NCAA Regional and won its sixth Patriot League Tournament Championship in as many full seasons.
Army had the second-highest fielding percentage in the conference, and played error-free baseball in 21 games.
Four position players earned Patriot League All-Conference accolades under Jennings in 2024.
At Army, Jennings assists Associate Head Coach Mike Cole with the offense while coaching Army's outfielders. Jennings is also responsible for the team's defensive alignments and on-campus recruiting visits.
In addition to his coaching duties, Jennings serves as the Director of Army West Point Baseball Camps and Clinics.
Jennings came to Army West Point after four seasons as an Assistant Coach at Central Connecticut State University (2019-22).
Before coaching, Jennings was on the Central Connecticut State baseball team (2014-17) where he won an NEC title and played in the NCAA Tournament in 2017. He was an All-NEC First Team member as well as an NEC All-Tournament selection. He played in 187 career games, logged .291 batting average, 87 runs, and had 50 RBI's. After college Jennings went on to play professionally with the Somerset Patriots (Atlantic League), the Eastside Diamond Hoppers (USPBL), and the New York Bucks (Empire League).
Jennings is a native of Montgomery, N.Y.
