WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Director of Athletics Tom Theodorakis announced the hiring of Katy DeMarco as the new Chief Financial Officer and Senior Associate Athletics Director for Army West Point Athletics.
"I'm excited to welcome Katy to our Army West Point Athletics staff," said Army West Point Director of Athletics Tom Theodorakis. "She has tremendous financial experience across multiple organizations that will add great value to our athletics staff and department goals as we strive to support the Fruits of Victory Strategic Plan."
DeMarco brings a strong track record of financial leadership from multiple organizations to her role with the Black Knights that will begin in mid-May. Prior to joining the Army West Point Athletics team, she served as the West Point Association of Graduates' Director of Finance for more than a decade during which she played a key role in managing the finances for the Michie Stadium Preservation Project.
Before beginning her work with the West Point Association of Graduations, DeMarco worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art as a Portfolio Accounting Manager where she re-engineered the museum's original spending calculations to a more accurate approach, improved the efficiency of various department processes, managed external audit requests, and managed various month and quarter-end endowment reports regarding the museum's sizeable endowment.
DeMarco spent time at JPMorgan Chase as a Senior Financial Associate where she managed the planning, forecasting, and financial analysis of the Hedge Fund Services, created and implemented the global information reporting on revenue, direct expenses, and headcount to senior management, and built tools to improve tracking on client revenue.
DeMarco earned her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Baylor University before obtaining her master's degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University.
