Gymnastics Earns ECAC Regular Season Title with Tri-Meet Win on Senior Day

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point gymnastics earned the ECAC Regular Season Team title on Saturday evening with a victory over ECAC foes Greenville and Springfield with a score of 314.800, the highest of the season so far, on senior day. Army prior to the meet celebrated their three seniors: Carter Beck, Maddox Pabellon and John Wear.
The Black Knights earned a new team high for the 2026 season in the Floor Exercise, Still Rings and Parallel Bars. In both the Floor Exercise and Pommel Horse, Army secured the highest team scores with a 53.550 and 53.450 in each event.
Starting on the Floor Exercise, the Black Knight were led by freshman Thomas Morrow who earned a 13.700, tying a career high to finish in second place individually. Both Nick Lester and Max Rubin secured a 13.350 to earn a tie for fifth individually.
In the second event of the day, the Pommel Horse, the Black Knight secured their only individual title of the event. Senior Maddox Pabellon earned a 13.900 to take home the 18th event title of his Army West Point career. Noah Duran, Jake Prabhakaran and Ben Aguilar all took home fourth thru sixth place, respectively.
On the Still Rings, senior Carter Beck made an appearance on senior day, tying for the team lead on the apparatus with Cash Johnston, earning a 13.200 that placed them both in sixth place individually. In the Vault, the Black Knights took home two of the top five spots. Pabellon earned a top three finish with a 13.600, earning a new season high on the apparatus. Lester earned a fourth-place finish with a 13.450.
In the Parallel Bars, Lester earned another fourth-place finish with a 13.150 and was the highest finisher for the Black Knights. During the final event of the afternoon, the Horizontal Bar, Johnston and Jaden Blank earned a tie for second place with a 12.900, while Tyson Phelps earned a fifth-place finish with a 12.800.
