March 06, 2026 | Women's Basketball
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Following a remarkable 23-win regular season, the Army West Point women's basketball team received six All-Patriot League honors on Friday afternoon, the conference announced.
Camryn Tade was named First Team All-Patriot League, Kya Smith earned Second Team All-Patriot League, Reese Ericson garnered named Third Team All-Patriot League and Reganne Reardon was named to the All-Rookie Team. Additionally, Tade and Smith each earned a spot on the All-Defensive team.
"I am beyond proud of the hard work that Camryn, Kya, Reese and Reganne have put in all season to earn these impressive honors," said Head Coach Katie Kuester. "It is a testament to who they are as cadet-athletes, and I couldn't be prouder to coach them. They embody the toughness, grit and relentless attitude that is at the core of who we are as a program. They, along with their 10 other teammates, truly set the tone every time they step on the court."
This is the first All-Patriot League honor for Tade, a junior guard from Southlake, Texas. She finished as the second-leading scorer for Army, averaging 13.0 points per game. Tade recorded double-digit scoring in 20 games this season and had 13 games of 15-plus points.
She ranked eighth in the conference in total points scored during the regular season, which included a career-high 26 points in Army's road win at Loyola Maryland. Tade also scored at an efficient rate, as the junior finished the regular season shooting 47.5 percent from the field. She is third in the Patriot League in 3-point shooting percentage at 38.4 percent and leads the conference in free-throw shooting percentage at 84.6 percent. Her 73 assists are tied for 11th in the league.
Tade was also excellent on the defensive side of the ball, as she helped lead Army to the best scoring defense in the Patriot League and the seventh best in the country. She was third on the team and eighth in the Patriot League in steals with 37. Tade's 11 blocks are second on Army's roster.
Like Tade, this is the first Patriot League postseason honor for Smith. A junior forward from Lubbock, Texas, Smith finished the regular season as Army's leading scorer, averaging 13.3 points per game on an impressive 52.1 percent shooting clip. Smith was also Army's leading rebounder at 9.9 rebounds per game, which second in the conference.
She scored in double-digits 20 times this season and has 11 double-doubles to her name. The junior forward scored 10-plus points in 20 games and had three 20-plus point performances. Smith scored a career-high 27 points in Army's win over Howard on Dec. 29, while also grabbing 22 rebounds. She delivered 20 points on 9-10 shooting against Big Ten-foe Oregon.
Smith also proved to be an excellent playmaker for Army this season, as she is tied for sixth in the conference in assists with 88. She has recorded three-plus assists in 16 games this season and five-plus assists in five games. Smith had a career-high eight assists in Army's road win at Lafayette. She is the only player in the conference averaging 13-plus points, nine-plus rebounds and three-plus assists this season.
The 6-1 forward is also a weapon on the boards. She leads the Patriot League with 3.8 offensive rebounds per game. After recording 21 rebounds in Army's win over Lafayette in late February, Smith became one of just seven Division I players with multiple games of 21 or more rebounds this season. Her 11 double-doubles lead Army and are second in the Patriot League.
Defensively, Smith has some of the most active hands in the conference, as her 50 steals leads Army and is third in the conference. She has been crucial to helping Army force 16.3 turnovers per game, which leads the conference.
For Ericson, a senior from Lake Oswego, Ore., this is her third time receiving All-Patriot League honors. She was named to the All-Rookie team in 2023 and Second Team All-Patriot League in 2025. She also won Rookie of the Year in 2023. She has established herself as the best 3-point shooter in the conference and one of the best in the country.
Ericson finished the regular season third in scoring for Army, averaging 11.3 points per game. She has 10-plus points in 17 games this season, including a season-high 21 points against American. Ericson leads the Patriot League in total three pointers (88) and three pointers per game (3.03). She is second in 3-point percentage (41.1%). Nationally, she ranks sixth in three pointers per game and 12th in total threes.
She currently sits fifth all-time in the Patriot League in made threes with 268 and her 88 threes this season are the 10th most in a single year by a Patriot League player.
The senior guard was second for Army in assists with 82.
Reardon, a freshman from Chicago, has had an impressive first season for Army to earn herself a spot on the All-Rookie Team. Reardon is the team's leading bench scorer this season, averaging 7.0 points per game. She has 10 games of at least 10 points this season and has become an even better player during conference games.
Against Patriot League opponents, Reardon is averaging 7.5 points per game on 42.0 percent shooting. Reardon is fifth among Patriot League rookies in scoring. She had a career-high 16 points on 6-12 shooting against Loyola Maryland on Feb. 18. Seven of her 10 double-digit scoring performances have come during conference play.
This marks the second consecutive season that an Army player has earned a spot on each of the three All-Patriot League Teams, as Trinity Hardy (First Team), Ericson (Second Team) and Fiona Hastick (Third Team) earned the honors last season. Reardon is the first Black Knights to make the All-Rookie Team since Hastick earned a spot in 2023-24.
Smith and Tade are the first Army duo to make the All-Defensive Team in the same season since Janae McNeal and Aliyah Murray made it after the 2016-17 season.
Army opens postseason play in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League Tournament on Monday, as it hosts No. 6 Lafayette at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
