Men’s Tennis Records Sunday Sweep Over Stonehill and LIU

WEST POINT, N.Y. – It was a dominant Sunday afternoon for the Army West Point men's tennis team, as it recorded a pair of sweeps over Stonehill and LIU at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center.
Army (4-0) has only lost one team point all season and it continued its dominant start on Sunday.

In doubles, Matias Feoli and Jimin Jung kicked things off with a 7-6 win in the top doubles spot. Sunday marked Jung's first action this spring for the Black Knights. The opening point of the match was clinched by Army in the No. 2 doubles spot, as Jack Hanna and Preston Achter won 7-5. Like Jung, Sunday was Hanna's first spring appearance.
The Black Knights quickly doubled their lead to 2-0, as Daniel Choi recorded a 6-1, 6-2 victory at the No. 4 singles spot. Jackson Armistead, playing in the top spot, pushed Army even closer to the team victory with a 6-1, 6-1.
Jung clinched the first match of Sunday at the No. 2 spot, recording a 6-2, 6-3 win.
Army 4, LIU 0
Due to roster constraints, LIU was only able to put out two doubles pairings and four solo matches, automatically giving Army the 2-0 team lead.
Needing to just win one doubles match, the Black Knights fell 6-3 in the second doubles spot. However, Feoli and Jung recorded a 7-6 (5) win at No. 1 to make it 3-0.
Army needed just one singles win to clinch the match and Alan Ton got it done at No. 2 with a 6-3, 6-1 win.
