January 06, 2026 | Hockey
BOSTON, Mass. – After a four-point week for the junior forward, Brent Keefer earned the first Atlantic Hockey America Forward of the Week title of the new year.
Keefer played a key role in Army's 1-0-1 week in the Black Knights' last game of 2025 and first game of 2026.
In Army's road game at LIU, Keefer scored Army's first and fourth goals and notched an assist as well as a blocked shot to help the Black Knights tie 4-4 with the Sharks. Keefer's three-point game against the Sharks ties for the team-high in point in a game by a single skater this season.
The Colorado Springs product continued to produce points for Army when the Black Knights welcomed then-No. 12 ranked Northeastern to Tate Rink on January 2 to begin their 2026 play.
Keefer helped the Black Knights out-shoot the Huskies 39-27 and scored his third goal in two games with just 56 seconds left in regulation time after he out-battled a Northeastern skater down the length of the ice to secure an empty net goal to cement Army's statement 5-2 win over the Hockey East program.
