Nominations Open for Army Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Director of Athletics Tom Theodorakis and The Army Sports Hall of Fame Committee announce the opening of the nomination process for consideration for the Army Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Nominations will be accepted from today through March 15, 2026.
The 2026 Army West Point Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is planned for September with a date determined by the football schedule, which will be announced no later than early March.
Nominations and any supporting materials can be submitted via email to rich.demarco@westpoint.edu or mailed to the Army West Point Athletic Association at:

Nominations should include as much supporting documentation as possible (newspaper articles, copies of award recognitions, rankings of team/individual records, etc.) for the Committee to properly review, verify and consider the nomination. To assist the Hall of Fame Committee in processing requests, we ask that all information mailed to the Committee be binded together by staple, paper clip, or other means.
To be eligible for consideration, an inductee must satisfy the qualifications as outlined in the Army Sports Hall of Fame Bylaws:
Former Cadet-Athletes
Eligibility for individuals who did not compete, coach or who were not employed as an athletics staff member at USMA, but who have brought distinction and honor to the Academy shall be eligible for induction into the Army Sports Hall of Fame within the Kenna Hall of Army Sports. Special achievements should be based on significant contributions to the ideals of intercollegiate athletics at USMA and involvement and support of the intercollegiate athletics program in some special way.

Former Cadet-Athletes
- Be a USMA graduate
- 10 or more years passed since graduation date.
- Documented outstanding contribution to their sport, club or sports while at USMA.
- Each individual athlete must have achieved at least one of the following:
- Olympic medalist individual or team sport
- United States Olympic Team Member
- World Record Holder (mark must be recognized by that sport's National Federation)
- American Record Holder (mark must be recognized by that sport's National Federation)
- Professional Sports Career Records
- NCAA All-American in Team Sports: Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Soccer, Lacrosse, Rifle and Pistol
- NCAA Champion or Top Eight Finish in Individual Sports: Cross Country, Indoor Track, Outdoor Track, Golf, Swimming, Tennis, Wrestling, Rifle and Gymnastics
- NCAA Statistical Champion
- Any significant contributions to sports while at West Point and after, when the above criteria do not or cannot be applied. Criteria will be based upon the nominees' participation while attending or serving the United States Military Academy. Accomplishments after leaving the Academy may be important considerations.
- Documented outstanding contributions to their sport at USMA.
- Served a minimum of five years tenure in the Department of Athletics.
- Five or more years passed since departure from USMA, retirement or death.
- Former Coaches will be considered with criteria that include:
- Overall development of the program
- Career records
- National titles
- National Top 20 Rankings
- National achievements such as Coach of the Year, President of the National Coaches Association, etc.
- Developed National Championship Teams and Individual Sports
- Developed Olympians, World, American or NCAA record setters
- Developed All Americans and professional athletes
- Documented outstanding contributions to intercollegiate athletics at USMA.
- Minimum of five years tenure in the Department of Athletics.
- Five or more years pass since departure from USMA, retirement or death.
