Pabellon Earns Gymnastics First ECAC Weekly Award of Centennial Season

DANBURY, CONN. – Army West Point Gymnast Maddox Pabellon earned ECAC Routine of the Week after a successful weekend at the West Point Open, as announced by the conference on January 20.
Pabellon qualified in first place to the event finals with a 14.2, repeating as event champion to win his third West Point Open pommel horse title and helping the Black Knights to a second overall team finish at the event. For Pabellon this is his 15th career event title on pommel horse.
The senior gymnast has competed in both of Army's events so far this season taking home the top spot on the Pommel Horse in both opportunities. The captain has earned ECAC Routine/Specialist of the Week on nine occasions, and this is his first of the 2026 season.
Pabellon and his teammates will be back in action on January 24 at 7:30 pm in Indianola, Iowa, when they take on ECAC foe Simpson.
