Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Army One Day

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's tennis team wrapped up its second fall event of the year, as it hosted the Army One Day event against Monmouth at the Malek Stadium outdoor courts.
Originally, the event was supposed to include four teams but due to injuries and illness it ended up just being a pair of matches between Army and Monmouth. Both the morning and afternoon session included a pair of double matches, and four singles matches.
In the morning session, Marcus Sebastian and Tucker Culpepper recorded a 6-3 doubles win. Alan Ton had a 7-5, 6-3 singles win.
In round two, Army dropped both of its doubles matches and picked up a singles win from Jackson Armistead who won 6-3, 7-5.

"This part of the season, it's important we play as much as we can with guys in different uniforms. The more opportunities to play live matches is what the fall is all about. I am excited to travel to Hofstra next week with four different guys to compete against different teams. It's all about taking one step at a time and making sure we continue to do the simple things better each day."
