WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army West Point Athletics celebrated the accomplishments of the 2024-25 season with the annual Black Knight Awards presented by USAA.
The Black Knight Awards recognize the outstanding achievements of cadet-athletes, teams, and staff members across all of Army's athletic programs. The event serves as an opportunity to honor excellence in competition, academics, leadership, and service, while reflecting on another memorable year for the Black Knights.
Winners of each award were revealed at the event and leading up to it on social media, highlighting the performances and contributions that defined the 2024-25 season.
The Class of 1970 MacArthur Cup Award for Athletics (Team of the Year) was awarded to Men's Swimming & Diving. The men claimed their first Patriot League title in 24 years and defeated rival Navy. Army Men's Swimming & Diving sent multiple athletes to compete at the NCAA Men's Swimming & Diving Championships. Freshman Johnny Crush and junior Kohen Rankin were selected as individual competitors for the national meet in addition to representing Army's 400 medley relay team. The relay team finished 15th overall in the 200 medley relay to earn the first All-American honors in the event in program history.
