June 12, 2025 | Rifle
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army rifle head coach Leighton Dempster has announced the team's 2025-26 match schedule. Dempster enters her fourth season at the helm, guiding the Black Knights as members of the Great America Rifle Conference (GARC).
Last season, freshman Addison Antwiler emerged as a standout performer. The Madisonville, La., native impressed in her debut at the GARC Championships, leading the team in air rifle on the final day of competition. She secured a spot in the eight-person individual finals with a score of 595—just one point shy of her career high—and went on to place seventh. Antwiler also qualified for the NCAA Air Rifle Championships, where she posted a 594, two points below her personal best, and finished 25th.
Army opens the season on the road with back-to-back matches against The Citadel (Oct. 11) and Georgia Southern (Oct. 12).
The Black Knights' home opener is set for Oct. 25 in a triangular match against Nebraska and Kentucky at West Point.
For the second time in three seasons, Army will host the GARC Championships, scheduled for Feb. 28–March 1 at Tronsue Rifle Range.
The GARC includes Army, Navy, Memphis, West Virginia, Akron and Kentucky.
Full Schedule
Army will travel to Annapolis on Nov. 1 to face service academy rivals Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard in the annual battle for the President's Trophy.
On Feb. 7, the Black Knights will host Navy in the annual Star Match, part of the Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA.
