May 07, 2025 | Baseball
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Army West Point Baseball saw six players named to the Patriot League First and Second All-League Teams.
Â
Andrew Berg, Thomas Schreck, Chris Barr and William Parker each made the first team, at the starting pitcher, infielder, outfielder and at-large positions, respectively.
Â
Catcher Jack Quinlan and outfielder Addison Ainsworth also earned all-conference accolades, making the second team.
Â
Army's four first team selections are tied for most among conference members.
Â
Berg's 2.78 ERA leads both Army and the Patriot League, with the junior having recorded a 5-2 record across the regular season. He tossed starts of eight or more innings twice this season, on the road at Navy March 15 and at Bucknell April 25. Berg has appeared in 13 games this year, with 10 starts, and pitched complete seven-inning games vs. Navy March 28 and at Holy Cross April 4.
Â
Schreck leads the team with a .331 batting average, a mark which is also fourth in the conference and over 100 points higher than his 2024 mark. The senior has also recorded three home runs, and started all 45 regular season games at shortstop.
Â
Barr—splitting time between second base and left field in 2025—possesses a batting average of .317—the second-highest mark on the team. The junior has started each game this season and has served as Army's main leadoff threat. Barr has also hit three home runs and stolen a team-high 29 bases.
Â
Parker recovered from offseason Tommy John surgery in time to return to the lineup as DH by March and made his first start at left field April 16 vs. Holy Cross. The junior was named to the first team as a position at-large with five home runs and a .315 regular season batting average.
Â
Quinlan has filled the role of everyday catcher in 2025, with 34 regular season starts behind the plate. His five homers are tied with Parker for the team-high, with the junior batting at a .313 clip.
Â
Ainsworth has started all but one game this season to date at center field. Batting .301 with four home runs, the junior is second on the team in home runs and fifth in batting average.
Â
Army opens the postseason Saturday at Navy, for Game 1 of the best-of-three Patriot League semifinal series.
