Posey, Fink Given to Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Carlos Posey and Emily Fink were named to two of the Patriot League's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards on Tuesday.
Carlos Posey was named the Patriot League Men's Field Athlete of the Week honor.
Posey earned Patriot League Men's Field Athlete of the Week after winning a gold medal in the long jump (7.29m | 23' 11") and a silver medal in the high jump (2.07m | 6' 9.5") at the Star Meet in Annapolis, Maryland. The high jump mark ranks 68th in NCAA DI and is tied for the lead in the Patriot League.
Emily Fink was named Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Fink was named Patriot League Women's Field Athlete of the Week after she broke the Star Meet and Ingram Field records in the hammer throw with a mark of 65.86m (216' 1") to earn gold in the event.
The Wisconsin native also won the shot put with a mark of 15.75m (51' 8.75"). She leads the League in both events, with her season-best hammer throw mark ranking third in NCAA DI.
Alongside the award winners, distance runners Nathan Davis and Mikayla Cheney both received an honorable mention in this week's voting.
Davis won the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Star Meet with a time of 8:51.38. While he also logged a 14:16.36 mark in the 5,000m.
Cheney won the 800m (2:08.58) and 1,500m (4:19.77) at the Star Meet to earn 10 points for the Black Knights and now leads the Patriot League in both events.
Posey, Fink and the rest of the Army Track and Field team will head to Ewing, New Jersey for their next meet at the TCNJ Invite & Multis, beginning April 10 and lasting through April 12.
