Men's Tennis Splits Weekend with Boston U & Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, PA - Army West Point men's tennis (11-5, 4-2 Patriot League) defeated Boston University (0-10, 0-3 Patriot League) by a score of 4-0 before falling 4-2 at Lehigh (9-8, 3-1 Patriot League) as the Mountain Hawks played host this weekend.

Army began with a 1-0 advantage due to a walkover on court six singles as the Terriers had only five athletes eligible to compete. Needing just one doubles win to secure the point, Jackson Armistead and Daniel Choi took care of business with a 6-1 victory.

Vishnu Bodavula quickly made the 2-0 lead a 3-0 advantage with a (6-3, 6-0) win at flight four, as the 4-0 win was then clinched by Davis McDonald on court six with a (6-2, 6-4) scoreline

After the Mountain Hawks took the doubles point, Armistead cruised to a (6-2, 6-1) flight one victory which notched the score at one. Bodavula then early his second victory of the weekend at flight four with a (6-4, 6-4) triumph to put the Black Knights ahead 2-1.

Lehigh battled back, winning on the next three courts to prevail by a score fo 4-2. The loss snapped an eight-match winning streak for the Black Knights who fell to 11-5 on the season.
