Women's Lacrosse Earns Four Patriot League Weekly Awards

BETHLEHEM, PA – Army West Point women's lacrosse received four of the five weekly Patriot League awards, announced today by the league.
Junior Allison Reilly earned her second consecutive Attacker of the Week, junior Brigid Duffy received Midfielder of the Week, junior Lindsey Serafine tabbed Goalkeeper of the Week recognition and senior Haley Kampert was named Defensive Player of the Week.
The quartet earns its laurels following a monumental week for the women's lacrosse program, which saw it earn its first-ever victory over a top-five program in Stanford before matching a program record with just two goals allowed at Lafayette in a 21-2 victory.
Duffy recorded nine goals, five assists, 15 draw controls, six caused turnovers and five ground balls across the week. Duffy tormented the Cardinal with five caused turnovers, including the game-clinching CT when Army led by two goals with two minutes remaining. She added a game-high eight draw controls in the game to go along with six points through two goals and four assists. Returning at Lafayette, Duffy matched a career-high and recorded her third seven-goal effort of the season. She added seven draw controls and three ground balls as Army matched a program record with just two goals allowed. Duffy leads the Patriot League in goals per game and is second in caused turnovers per game, ground balls per game and points per game while being fifth in draw controls per game. It marks Duffy's third time this season receiving the award.
Reilly posted ten goals and six assists to pace Army's offense throughout the week, adding two draw controls, a caused turnover and a ground ball. She began each game with a natural hat trick, giving the Black Knights an early edge in both contests. She scored five times in both games, adding a pair of assists against Stanford, having involvement in seven of Army's 12 goals. At Lafayette, she also provided four assists for a game-high nine points which also matched her season-high. It marks the third time this season in which Reilly has been the league's attacker of the week as her 5.9 points per game currently leads the Patriot League and is ninth in country.
Serafine had a standout week in between the pipes, making 19 saves with just ten goals allowed for a .655 save-percentage. The junior was the difference in the second half versus Stanford, stopping eight of the 12 shots in which she faced after the game was tied at halftime. On Saturday at Lafayette, she had the most dominant performance of her career, making ten saves while allowing just one goal in 51 minutes of action. She helped the Black Knights match a program record with just two goals allowed in the game. The win marks the second of the season for Serafine, who has started all ten games this season to the tune of a 8-2 record.
