Women’s Soccer Secures Patriot League Victory over Lafayette Leopards

EASTON, Pa. – Army West Point women's soccer secured a Patriot League victory on Saturday night after a two goal second half against the Lafayette Leopards (3-7-6, Patriot League 1-3-3). For the Army Black Knights (10-4-2, Patriot League, 4-2-1), both junior Sabrina Rogers and senior Bella Cooke scored goals.

The Black Knights will return home for Senior Night on Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. against Loyola Maryland. All seven of Army's seniors will be recognized pregame.

- Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first half, with the Black Knights recording six corner kicks in the first half
- The Black Knights finally broke through five minutes into the second half. Freshman Sophia Henry tried to collect a loose ball with the Lafayette goalie. Henry was able to take a shot that was initially saved before junior Sabrina Rogers collected the rebound and took a shot into the empty net to make it 1-0.
- Sophomore Bella Conti collected a ball down the side of the box and put in a ball into the middle of box. Senior Bella Cooke collected it at the near post and with a closing angle took a shot beating the goalkeeper upstairs to double the Army lead.
