Jeitz, Fink Given Patriot League Weekly Honors

Junior middle distance runner Kasen Jeitz and senior thrower Emily Fink both received Patriot League Athlete of the Week honors, the league announced on Tuesday.Â
Kasen Jeitz earned the Patriot League's Men's Track Athlete of the Week honor after his performance in the 800m dash at the Dr. Sander Scorcher.Â
Over the weekend, Jeitz finished the race recording a 1:50.08, which helped him place third in the event. With his time, Jeitz also has the best time in the Patriot League in the event.Â
Emily Fink received the Patriot League's Women's Field Athlete of the Week due to her performance in the shot put at the Dr, Sander Scorcher.Â
Fink threw for 16.82m on her second throw in the women's shot put, helping her claim first in the event. With her throw, she now holds the top spot in the Patriot League in shot put, and now also ranks No. 21 out of all NCAA Division I athletes competing in the event.Â

The battle of the Star will take place on Saturday, February 1, with the meet also streaming live on ESPN+.
