Pasiuk Earns All-American Accolades at NCAA Championships

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Army West Point Wrestling's Ben Pasiuk secured All-American status at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Kansas City Friday night.
The senior from Carrollton, Ohio clinched a top eight finish in the 174lb weight class at the championships, with a win by 9-8 decision in the blood round over Northern Iowa's Jared Simma.
Pasiuk is the first All-American from Army since 2008, when Matt Kyler finished sixth in the 141lb bracket.
The No. 18 seed in the championships, Pasiuk secured an opening round win Thursday, and followed a second round loss Thursday night with three consolation bracket wins Friday.
The EIWA 174lb runner-up finished in eighth place in Kansas City after dropping a pair of bouts in the consolation bracket Saturday.
