Gymnastics Falls to Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, MASS- The Army West Point gymnastics team journeyed to Springfield, Massachusetts, to compete against Springfield College. Despite their best efforts, the Black Knights fell short with a final score of 398.550 to Springfield's 389.250. Throughout the competition, Army posted scores of 63.900 on floor exercise, 63.800 on pommel horse, 64.900 on still rings, 69.750 on vault, 77.100 on parallel bars, and 62.600 on high beam.
FULL RESULTS
Steve Manolakis claimed the day's highest score of 14.200 on vault, securing a commendable second place. Manolakis also dominated the floor exercise with a score of 13.500, the highest of the meet. Noah Duran and Gabe Almeida contributed to Army's showing, both earning scores of 13.250 and tying for second place. Almeida secured the highest score for Army on still rings with 13.050. Jacob Brenner triumphed on parallel bars with a top score of 13.400, while Zachary Perez led both teams on the high bar with a notable score of 13.600.
Next up: With their sights set on future challenges, Army now looks forward to the ECAC Championships on April 6th in Springfield, MA, following a well-deserved break.
