JJ Cataldo Named Atlantic Hockey America Rookie of the Month

BOSTON - Army West Point hockey freshman goaltender JJ Cataldo has been named Atlantic Hockey America Rookie of the Month for November, as announced today by the league.
Cataldo registered a 1.69 GAA and .946 save-percentage across six starts in the month, tabbing a 3-3 record while winning three of his five conference starts.Â
He recorded his first career shutout with a 39-save effort to defeat Niagara by a score of 1-0, before making 51 saves with just three goals allowed in a two-game series at RIT in which Army earned all six points.
Cataldo currently ranks sixth in the country this season with a .942 save percentage and has earned a pair of AHA Rookie of the Week honors to date during his breakout plebe campaign.
