October 16, 2024 | Women's Soccer
WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point women's soccer team picked up its first draw of the season in a 0-0 effort against Lafayette.
The clean sheet is the 24th of star goalkeeper Sage Strohman's historic career and the fifth of the season. She is now one shutout away tying the second most in program history.
Strohman made three saves on the night, including a stellar save where she walled up on the goal line while lying on the ground to keep the Leopards off the board in the second half.
The Black Knights managed seven shots on goal and 16 shots total, but the Lafayette keeper kept Army off the board.
Next up for the Black Knights is the Star Series presented by USAA at home on Saturday against Navy at 7pm.
