Men's Lax Checks in at No. 8 in USA Lacrosse Division I Men's Preseason Top 20

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's lacrosse team checked in at No. 8 in the USA Lacrosse Division I Men's Preseason Top 20.
Army comes into the 2024 season after a historic 2023 campaign that saw the Black Knights win the Patriot League tournament after sharing the regular season title with Boston U. They also knocked off defending national champion Maryland in the first round of the NCAA Tournament for Army's first NCAA Tournament win since 2010.
Jack Emmer Head Coach Joe Alberici took home Patriot League Coach of The Year for leading the Black Knights to their longest win-streak since 2017 (nine games) and beating three top 10 opponents.
They return Even Plunkett who won Patriot League Rookie of the Year, AJ Pilate who won Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, Will Coletti who broke the single season ground ball record.
They also return an impressive amount of fire power, 21 players scored at least one goal last season, 19 of them are back for the 2024, including the top 11 scorers.
The 2024 season will be start on Feb. 10 in Atlanta against UMass.
