Men's Basketball Falls at Lafayette 52-47

EASTON, Pa. – The Army West Point men's basketball team (4-10, 0-1 PL) fell to Lafayette (2-12, 1-0 PL) by a score of 52-47 in the Patriot League opener on Wednesday night.
Turnovers were the story of the game. Army had 14 which led to 17 Leopard points and Lafayette only had eight resulting in five Black Knight points.
Josh Scovens led the way for the Black Knights finishing with 12 points, six rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and one steal. TJ Small was also in double figures, finishing with 11 points and going 5-5 from the free throw line. Charlie Peterson had a good game as well, bringing in 10 boards, scoring seven points to go along with two assists and steals, and one block.
A Peterson layup with 4:13 left in the game tied things up at 47-47, but the Leopards would close the game out on a 5-0 run to take the win.
Army now turns its attention to Holy Cross who will make the trip to West Point on Saturday Jan. 6 at 1 PM. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
