Williams & Donnell Sweep Patriot League Women's Swim & Dive Weekly Awards

BETHLEHEM, PA - Army West Point women's swim & dive claimed both Patriot League weekly honors, announced today by the league.
Junior Clara Williams was named Patriot League Swimmer of the Week while junior Minh Donnell earned Diver of the Week honors.
Williams won all three individual events against Bucknell as Army took down the Bison for a 207-93 Patriot League victory. Williams claimed the top spot in the 50 free (23.90), 500 free (5:03.64) and 1000 free (10:35.89) while helping the 400 free relay team to victory with a 3:28.57 mark (51.67 split). Against Penn State earlier in the week, Williams paced Army and placed second in the 200 free (1:50.00) and 100 free (51.39) while helping the 200 free relay quartet to a second-place finish (1:34.90, 23.15 split).
Donnell medaled in all four events this past weekend, including a score of 281.40 in the 3M against Penn State to earn second place against the Nittany Lions. She went on to place third in the 1M with a 269.18 against Penn State, before securing second place in the event against Bucknell with a 231.00. Donnell then helped secure her third Patriot League weekly honor of the season with a third-place finish in the 3M (252.38), with the award also being the ninth of her career.
The Army women will return on Saturday, January 27th for another conference matchup against Loyola at 12:00 p.m.
