Men's Rugby Falls to Trinity College Dublin in Exhibition

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army West Point men's rugby team took on the oldest continuous rugby club in the world, Trinity College Dublin, on Friday night at Shea Stadium but ultimately fell by a score of 38-7.
The game started three hours late due to the storms in the Hudson Valley area but they were able to get the exhibition match in still.
Trinity scored the first two tries of the game to take a 10-0 lead in the first half.
A few minutes later they added another try to make it 17-0 and that would be the score going into the break.
Nate Gould scored a try with 31 minutes left. The Black Knights converted the conversion to make it 17-7.
Trinity scored a try three minutes later to make it 24-7. They later made it 31-7 with 21 minutes remaining in the game.
With 12 minutes they extended their lead to 38-7.
That would be the final score of the exhibition. The Black Knights will have their true season opener next weekend against Penn State at noon on Sept. 16.
